NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 2006--Investment Technology Group, Inc. (NYSE: ITG), a leading provider of technology-based trading services and transaction research, today announced that May 2006 U.S. trading volume was 3.4 billion shares and average daily volume (ADV) was 156 million shares. This compares to 2.7 billion shares and ADV of 143 million shares in April 2006 and 1.9 billion shares and ADV of 91 million shares in May 2005.

There were 22 trading days in May 2006, compared to 19 trading days in April 2006 and 21 trading days in May 2005.
