ITG Hires Dan Weingarten
NEW YORK, December 15, 2010 - Investment Technology Group, Inc. (NYSE: ITG), a leading agency research broker and financial technology firm, today announced that Dan Weingarten has joined ITG as a Managing Director. Mr. Weingarten will focus on expanding the reach of ITG's various liquidity solutions to a broader range of clients including retail and institutional broker-dealers. ITG's liquidity solutions span equity, FX and derivatives-based smart routing, crossing, DMA and algorithmic trading products.
Mr. Weingarten joined ITG from Penson Worldwide, where he was co-director of global sales and marketing. Prior to joining Penson subsidiary Penson Financial in 2007, he was co-head of sell-side transaction sales at NYFIX, where he was also responsible for the NYFIX Millennium business development effort. Mr. Weingarten has also served in business development, sales and trading positions at Island ECN, Credit Suisse and TD Waterhouse.
