Investment Technology Group Releases January 2007 U.S. Trading Statistics

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 2007--Investment Technology Group, Inc. (NYSE: ITG), a leading provider of technology-based trading services and transaction research, today announced that January 2007 U.S. trading volume was 4.2 billion shares and average daily volume (ADV) was 212 million shares. This compares to 2.8 billion shares and ADV of 142 million shares in January 2006 and 3.4 billion shares and ADV of 171 million shares in December 2006.

There were 20 trading days each in January 2007, January 2006 and in December 2006.

"ITG's volumes remained strong in January, which has typically been a strong month for the US markets," said Howard Naphtali, Chief Financial Officer at ITG.
